It'll be the small block next, though that's still an economical engine in the grand scheme of things. You'd have to get rid of all the german V8s, all the jap turbo cars etc before the LSx.
The LS engines really are amazing....using smarts rather than simply going with the concencus has shown the world's engine manufacturers what they're doing wrong....unfortunately the public need more convincing so DOHC 4 litre V8s will continue to be considered 'superior'.
